Getting Licenced
Real estate is an exciting and demanding profession offering many rewards to committed professionals. Unlimited opportunities and challenges with the potential for unlimited income serves to create an exhilarating future for those who are full time professionals.(see A Career in Real Estate).
The future of real estate is filled with expanding technology, marketing opportunities, knowledge and competition, and the Real Estate Council of Ontario provides the first steps used to discover the possibilities in real estate as a career.
The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) developed and administers the educational courses required to become licensed in Ontario (See Overview of the Licencing Process).
Individuals interested in becoming licensed as a real estate representative are required to successfully complete the three phases of the Real Estate as a Professional Career program (See The Initial Licence), complete a two year articling phase (See Articling Phase) and continue to take courses (See Continuing Education).
